Milan, Italy

Milan.... way more than expected, way more than just fashion.
Sorry, I took no photos. : /
Random thing to start off this post but it has to be said.
I've come to realise that basic sex education lacks extensively here. Had a guy in Sicily tell me that Italians don't have diseases. I then had to explain to him how and why that was an impossibility and somehow I did this when we barely spoke the same language. In Venice someone told me their doctor said that u can't get anything from all the alternative acts and that if u use a condom u can never get anything. Bahh. Family and coworkers are reading this but screw it, becuz it's the stigma attached to sex that has ultimately led to this kind of miseducation that in turn leads to the spread of more diseases.
FYI. Herpes can still be contracted even with a condom.
HIV is one of the hardest to catch, it has no shelf life and must go into your blood stream.
And some ridiculous amount of people have HPV, also possible to catch with a condom.
Once again I come back to the importance of promoting self education. Anyway, it just baffles me how under promoted sexual education is on a global scale and how people don't research that stuff while they're skipping around behind girlfriends backs with tourists, with no respect or basic human empathy. Trash.

On my way to Milan I was reminded how I should always know exactly where my mp3 player is to avoid being annoyed by load people on their cell phones in the train. Italian is a beautiful language, spoken by a gay man in a stereotypical voice, could make one never want to speak it again.

Milan is such an easy city to get around. The subway is easy, the trams go everywhere via thier own lanes like a grassy central park down the middle of every street and with little effort, I found myself at Christina's door within a 1/2 hour at the cost of only 1€, which is rare nowadays. Nice to sit off bermy style again.

I didn't expect much out of Milan, assuming it would be alot like Rome or Florence but in fact it breathes more the Sicilian party atmosphere than anything else. Sure there is the flashy side, known for the transvestites that run the city in style, along with the designer labels everywhere, but there's also the laid back and relaxed side, playing their guitars and sitting off like hippies sitting in on a fashion runway. Once again the cops turn a blind eye to the gathering in the street in
Ticinese as crowds gather with bottles and spliffs burning until the clean up crew comes to break up the crowd.

I really never expected such freedom, especially after my experiences with Florence, the most stuck up place in Italy apparently. The only problems we did have was the landlord freaking out over my staying with Christina for 3 days. Apparently our cultural difference makes us incapable of comprehending why this is absolutely absurd and punishable by the renters agreement terms. According to her, renters have no rights and are most certainly not allowed to have people over even if they are not sleeping there. Ridiculous.
So I left there and am on my way to Switzerland!
